Long overdue Midwest Meet Up Post

Well, I have been slacking on the blog front. Lime Tree and J posted about our fabulous meet up on June 23, but here's my take on that marvelous day.

CrunchyRN drove up that morning and came to my messy home so we could carpool. Smart! We went shopping first at a store called Five Below to round out the goody bags for meet up attendees. There were other fun things at the shop.

While I sped purposefully toward Mancini's in Oak Park, CrunchyRN gleefully assembled the goody bags. Fun!

We arrived early and snagged an awesome parking spot right near the trifecta of the meetup: Mancini's, Paper Source, and Fitzgerald's Fine Stationery.

We went in to wait and J arrived shortly thereafter. And, happily, Lime Tree Fruit wandered in just a few minutes later. We had marked our territory with a Malden grouping, and she walked in the door smiling when she saw that!

Chit chat ensured but we reminded each other to take pics and to tweet a bit about the day.

It was Chameleon that stole the show.

After the infamous Filofax pile photo, we headed out to browse Paper Source. I found many goodies but controlled myself.

Next stop: Fitzgerald's Fine Stationery. 

We petted the Holborns and Cubans. Saw a sad, old Ikon and thought aloud, why?! Perused inserts and sent pic to Steve. A bit ancient in Filofax terms, but fun to see regardless!

Until we meet again when we crash J's wedding... heh heh. Hope to meet even more Philofaxy fans at future meet ups!
