Birthday Goodness

I celebrated my Big Day last weekend, and I thought I'd  share the goodies I gifted myself. Sure, my kids and dh bought me a card, and the dh smartly remembered to pick up some flowers, but I took care of the present department.

Lovely flowers

While at lunch (tacos al pastor y Coronas), kids made me a birthday cookie
while Grandma babysat. Surprise!
Neighbor/friend Julie used her Whoopie pie maker to crank out some
birthday treats for me. How sweet!

The birthday goodies: Versailles VB Hipster, pocket black Malden, FriXion retractable  pens, Night Owl VB pen case, and Americana VB little bag (camera case for new Canon A1200).

I also had an iced coffee as well from Dunkin' Donuts (99 cents!) and did some wandering at    the local Barnes and Noble. Bought a non-Filofax recipe binder, a few birthday gifts for OTHER people, and a cute crochet kit on clearance.

  4. I did! It was fun accumulating the goodies over the month of June. Hmmn...first recipe in the book will be vegan baking powder cinnamon rolls. Easy to make and kids love them.

  8. Thank you so much, Denise! I fall behind on blog reading as well. Glad you took the time to take a look. :) The flowers and cards were surprises--the rest I knew I had to take care of myself. I am really not all that fun to buy for--just ask my dh! Take care.

  9. Happy (belated) birthday! Glad to see you bought yourself a little something. I wanted to tell you that we're getting a Vera Bradley store in our mall. Thank goodness I live about 40 minutes from there - otherwise, I might be there every weekend!
